Summerwoods is a Kolter Land Partners project that leverages renewable energy through the installation of solar streetlights. Located in Parrish County, Florida, convenient to I-75, this community is designed for anyone who wants easy access to St. Pete, Bradenton, and Sarasota. Community amenities include a resort-style pool with pavilion, walking trails and a playground.

Starting with 295 custom-designed, 35-watt Bell Head fixtures, all the important areas of Summerwoods are well lit, providing lighting 365 days a year even when the grid is down. To keep the community safe, lighting is concentrated at cross walks, mailboxes, and intersections. This project uses Recovered Energy Technologies’ exclusive “Solar Light as a Service” program, providing lighting for a monthly fee. All maintenance upgrades and repairs are covered by the program.

Edgemont Base

Edgemont Base is a DR Horton development, that is harnessing the power of the sun to provide complete community lighting. Part of the Palms of Serenoa, an active-adult, gated community with more than 500 homes within the Serenoa master planned development, Edgemont Base sits in the heart of the rolling hills of Clermont County Florida.

Recovered Energy Technologies was tasked to light up this portion of the Palms community while it is still in the build out phase. Clermont County is known as the Choice of Champions. It enjoys an international reputation as a training ground for elite athletes and for its celebration of the championship spirit. This required a state-of-the art solution to provide external lighting that enhances the community’s security and safety.

Recovered Energy Technologies proudly manufactures the world’s leading off-grid lights that feature bi-facial solar panels that harvest 25% more solar energy than a traditional solar module by harvesting energy from both the top of the panel and recovering reflected energy from the bottom of the panel.

Edgemont Base is specifically designed to provide its residents with a carefree low maintenance lifestyle. By incorporating Recovered Energy Technology’s unique Solar Light as a Service program, we are helping the community to achieve this important objective.
